INTRODUCTION

Institutional environments are high-risk and require regular testing and maintenance to ensure ongoing compliance. Often regular maintenance of specialist anti-ligature products is overlooked, creating unnecessary risk to patients, inmates, and staff.

Our regular maintenance and certification system for anti-ligature products, systems, and cells/rooms ensures compliance with relevant standards, and allows for timely identification and repair of non-conforming items. The certification process is completely transparent, well-documented, and externally audited to ensure compliance with ISO9001:2015.

All surveys, maintenance, and certification are conducted in compliance with the product technical specification or developed testing, maintenance, and certification plan.

ANnual surveys

Annual surveys are conducted to inspect a percentage of installs to determine compliance with the relevant standard or technical specification. Our products require annual surveys to maintain compliance. Any non-conformances identified are communicated by a notice to the client for rectification before certification is issued.

After the survey is completed, and no outstanding non-conformance notices remain, we will issue a new Certificate of Conformance, valid for 12 months.

5/10 Yearly MAINTENANCE

5 or 10 yearly maintenance is also required on most products/systems. This includes a survey and general maintenance of the installation to maintain compliance with the relevant standards and technical specifications.

After the survey is completed, we will issue a new Certificate of Conformance, valid for 12 months.

for non alts products

We can develop specific testing and maintenance plans for non–AL Technical Services products and combine these with testing, maintenance, and certification of our products to ensure all products and systems in the environment are functioning correctly.

We are able to issue a Certificate of Conformance to the developed testing and maintenance plan for a maximum period of 12 months, before renewal is required.

CELL/ROOM INSPECTIONS

Room/cell certification is also available to certify all anti-ligature and life safety devices are compliant and functioning. A room/cell certification system will be developed for your specific application, with each product/system having its own certification, testing, and ongoing maintenance process written.

We are able to issue a Certificate of Conformance to the developed testing and maintenance plan for a period of 12 months.

This service allows for completely independent ongoing testing, maintenance, and certification of your spaces to ensure compliance and safety of all stakeholders.
